Snowshoe Hike

McFarland Park, Story County

Sunday, January 17, 2021

Embrace winter with an invigorating snowshoe hike to explore McFarland Park. No experience necessary -- if you can walk, you can snowshoe! Snowshoes will be provided. You can either snowshoe with your own group or accompany the naturalist. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Waterproof footwear and layering of non-cotton clothing are strongly encouraged. Program is weather dependent and will be canceled if conditions don't allow snowshoeing.

Registration and $5 fee required by January 16.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to the ongoing development of COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation and face coverings mandatory when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
