Nature Play: Insects

Event Summary

During this unstructured activity, we’ll provide equipment and head to the prairie to catch insects! Let the imagination, discoveries, and friendships unfold! Participants should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. After searching for insects, families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and continue the fun and explore the rest of the park on their own. Participants will meet on the conservation deck located behind the center. Net, jars, and ID sheets will be provided. 

This program is free, but registration is required by 4 p.m. on  It is most appropriate for ages 5 and up, but all ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
