Summer Skills: Kayaking

Try out kayaking and explore the pond at West Peterson Park. Learn safety and basic paddling skills during a fun afternoon on the water! Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and will not come off your feet; no flip flops. Please bring a full water bottle and apply sunscreen before arrival. Masks are recommended.
This camp is only for children who have completed grades 5 & up in the spring of 2021.
Registration begins May 3rd at 6 pm, and goes until July 19th at 4 pm.
Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation, and we recommend face coverings when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
