August Topic- Iowa Rivers Revival. Flanked by two great rivers, with more than 70,000 miles of water between then, Iowa’s rivers and their valleys hold much of Iowa’s remaining wildness. These waterways provide many benefits and values for Iowa communities including water for everyday use, recreation, economic development and natural habitat for our wildlife. Unfortunately, these rivers face many threats including flooding, pollution and erosion. Join Iowa Rivers Revival Director Molly Hanson to hear about what this non-profit is doing statewide to educate and advocate for protection of our rivers and streams. We will meet at the nature center at Otter Creek Lake & Park.
Please pre-register by the day before by calling or emailing Logan at (641)484-2231 or lroberts@tamacounty.org
