Tama County Nature Center
The Tama County Nature Center is located at Otter Creek Lake and Park and serves as the formal office of the Tama County Conservation Board. The 5,600 sq. ft. facility features an educational display room with a striking diorama of riparian habitats in central Iowa, authentic soundtrack of wildlife, beautiful murals, and interactive displays.
The Nature Center may be rented for private events including training workshops, banquets, weddings, and receptions. Overnight stays are not allowed in the nature center. There are restrictive policies in place regarding use of the Nature Center. For an informational packet on Nature Center use and rentals, please email tccb@tamacounty.org.

Otter Creek Lake and Park is open year-round from 4 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Nature Center does not have set hours and is open based on staff availability, but viewings can be scheduled by calling 641-484-2231.
