This nice shelter comes with picnic tables, stone fireplace, and has bathrooms.

Location The shelter can be found on the Southeast edge of Historic Bentonsport along the Des Moines River.


Fees

The shelter is free to anyone that wants to walk up and use it. If you want to guarantee its availability, the shelter can be reserved for $25/day. Call the Van Buren County Conservation Board office to make a reservation. The phone number is (319) 293-3589. Payment can be delivered to the Van Buren County Conservation Board office at 816 Franklin St. Keosauqua, IA 52565 or put in a camping payment envelope and placed in the pay box in the Bentonsport Campground.
