Eckoff Nature Preserve


Eckoff Nature Preserve (ENP) is 80 acres of carefully stewarded remnant prairie and oak savanna, located in southwest Warren County. The property was graciously donated to WCCB from Ron and Barb Eckoff with the assistance of Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. 

The Intent for Management: The ENP is open for light recreational uses, including, but not limited to educational or volunteer events, hiking trails, or nature study.

It is the park user's responsibility to know park rules when recreating on public grounds.



Location

Southwest Warren County, east of I-35, near St. Charles, Iowa. 

Features

A small parking lot is located on Pierce Street. 

2-mile loop for pedestrian traffic only.

Remnant prairie and oak savanna habitat



Operating Hours & Seasons

ENP is closed between 10:00pm and 6:30am. 

Trails are open to walk year-round.
