Annual Winter Bird Count

DEC 18 2010 6:30 AM

Kennedy Memorial Park , Webster County

Event Summary

Everyone is invited to join the Webster County Birding group as they do their Annual Bird Count on December 18th. Meet at Tom Thumb West at 6:30 am for breakfast and to decide locations. The radius is 7 ½ mile and 15 mile diameter with the Prairie Resource Building at Brushy Creek as the center. At noon we will meet at the Prairie Resource Building at Brushy Creek to enjoy a warm lunch and gather our data.   If you choose not to participate in the field, or know someone who loves to watch birds but doesn’t want to be in the field, that’s okay~ please invite them to do a feeder count! Those are just as important too! Remember, you don't have to be a pro; all you need is a love of nature and a bird book!   You can email or phone Jenny and Breck Johnson at jaj6371@yahoo.com or 515-576-3345 with your count should you do a feeder count or go into the field and didn't make it to the prairie resource building at noon. You are also welcomed to go back out in the afternoon, should the spirit take you there.   Please contact Erin Ford 515-576-4258 for more information.
