* New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, also those Saturdays closest before or after the holiday. All Saturday closings will be posted on our Facebook page.

Connecting kids with nature at the Matt Cosgrove River's Edge Discovery Center. A place that not only welcomes those who come to learn and play, but also tells the story of the land and water that we enjoy. The building houses self-interpretative hands-on displays that immerse you in the living story of Iowa's water - the lifeblood that shapes our communities and our landscapes - while discovering our responsibilities to protect it for the future.

The center is home to self-guided hands-on displays and beautiful views of the Des Moines River. The outdoor landscape will be home to a playscape, water access, trails and a wetland.
