New Year Full Moon Walk at Decorah Fish Hatchery
Lake Meyer Park and Campground, Winneshiek County
Monday, January 1, 2018
Winneshiek County Conservation will
be hosting a Full Moon Walk on Monday, January 1 at the Decorah Fish Hatchery.
Gather your family and friends and
kick off the New Year with some fresh air, exercise, and fellowship as you
experience the Trout Run Trail and the Decorah Fish Hatchery under a full moon.
The walk will begin around 5:15 pm,
but participants are invited to arrive early to explore the hatchery and feed
fish. Sunset and moonrise will both occur around 4:45 pm, so please plan
accordingly. Hot drinks will be available following the walk.
The easy walk will last for
approximately 45 minutes. Please watch the forecast and dress appropriately for
cold conditions. Depending on conditions, the group will walk down the Trout
Run Trail or along the hatchery’s mowed trails and raceways.
The event is free and open to all.
The Decorah Fish Hatchery is located at 2321 Siewers Spring Road in Decorah. For more information, please call (563) 534-7145 or visit www.winneshiekwild.com
