Lake Meyer Park and Campground, Winneshiek County
Sunday, May 20, 2018
Winneshiek County Conservation will be hosting a prairie
wildflower walk at Hayden Prairie on Sunday, May
20 at 2:00 pm.
Join naturalist Larry Reis in wandering the prairie to see what
unique flowers are blooming. If you have binoculars, bring them along as there
will be many grassland birds visiting the prairie as well.
Hayden Prairie is a state preserve and is one of the largest
unplowed sections of pristine tallgrass prairie in Iowa. It is located in
Howard County near Lime Springs. Please meet at parking lot off of A23.
Directions and a map are available at www.winneshiekwild.com
under “Maps and Directions.”
This event is free and no registration is required. Hayden
