Spring Frog Songs

Event Summary

Frog and toads of Northeast Iowa will be the program at the Lake Meyer Nature Cneter on Sunday evening, May 16, beginning at 8:00 p.m.  See slides and listen to the calls of local frogs at the nature center.  Then walk down to the lake headwaters to hear live frogs and toads calling after dark.  We may be able to hear some late spring peepers besides American toads and maybe a few gray tree frogs.  Leopard frogs, striped chorus frogs, green frogs, and bullfrogs have also been heard at Lake Meyer at different times in the spring and summer.
