Event Summary

The Lake Meyer Nature Center will have a walk to look for migrating warblers and other spring birds that pass through the woods by the lake Sunday afternoon, May 9, starting at 2:00 p.m. The hike along the nature trails could last a couple hours and cover about two miles if the weather is nice and the birds are cooperative, but participants can join in for as long as they like. We can expect to see Baltimore orioles, rose-breasted grosbeaks, eastern bluebirds and ruby-throated hummingbirds besides a few of those figety tough-to-identify colorful little warblers. As a bonus, there will be many blooming wildflowers along the trails. Bring binoculars if you have them.
