Lake Meyer Ice Fishing Derby

Event Summary

The annual Lake Meyer Ice Fishing Derby will be held the afternoon of Sunday, February 6th at Lake Meyer Park.

Registration begins at 12:00 pm at the Lake Meyer Campground shop. Fishing runs from 12:00-4:00 pm.

Adults are $5, Kids (15 and under) are free. All ages are welcome.

Prizes for 1st and 2nd bass, bluegill, crappie, northern pike, and perch. Catch and release of bass and northern encouraged. Bass must be over 15” to be eligible.

Bring your own bucket, equipment, and auger. No ATVs or driving on the lake will be permitted during the event. All participants 16 and older must have a valid 2022 Iowa fishing license.

This derby is intended to be a fun event; final prize standings will be at the discretion of the WCCB staff.

Lake Meyer Park is located just off Highway 24 between Calmar and Fort Atkinson.
