Wildflower Walk at Hayden Prairie


Event Summary

Join naturalist Larry Reis on a hike through Hayden Prairie looking for late spring wildflowers, particularly a great showing of shooting stars. Hayden Prairie State Preserve is the largest remaining parcel of remnant tallgrass prairie outside of the Loess Hills in western Iowa. More than 100 species of wildflowers have been identified on the land. 

Hayden Prairie is located in Howard County, near Lime Springs. Directions can be found here. Meet at the parking area.
