Concrete Leaf Casting - Two Part Workshop

Event Summary

Join Winneshiek County Conservation in a hands-on workshop to create some unique yard art. Preserve your favorite leaf in concrete, capturing the natural depressions and veins in amazing detail. Perfect for shallow bird baths or feeders, butterfly feeders, or decoration!  

The workshop will involve two sessions: Saturday, June 6 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and Thursday, June 11 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Lake Meyer Nature Center. Participants must attend the first session, and it is highly recommended that you attend both.

Space is limited and registration is required by Wednesday, June 3 by calling (563) 534-7145.

There will be a $10 materials fee to cover supply costs.

 All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own leaves for casting. Please wear old clothes.
