Leopold Bench Building Workshop

Event Summary

Looking for a simple but elegant piece of furniture for circling around a campfire, nestling in a shady spot in your yard, or even settling in a quiet corner of your home? Join this hands-on workshop and build a Leopold Bench, a quick and efficient bench designed by famous conservationist and author Aldo Leopold. The rustic and attractive Leopold Bench is a perfect spot for warming up with a cup of coffee, reading a great book, or watching over the fields and forests.

All materials and tools for building an untreated pine bench will be provided. Options for decorating and staining your bench will be discussed.

Participants will be using power and hand tools, and will need a way to transport the finished bench home!

Registration is required by October 7 by calling (563) 534-7145.

Materials fee of $30 per bench due to instructors at start of class.
