Description
Description: The purpose of this position is to oversee the care and maintenance of the live wildlife exhibits and facilities at Calkins Nature Area. Successful candidate will be responsible for the development of feeding schedules, record keeping of daily animal care, implementation of appropriate diets, coordination of veterinary care, and maintenance of exhibit spaces. Additional maintenance responsibilities will be required within the main facility and around nature area grounds. The position will require the supervision and schedule planning of seasonal employees. Work schedule is Monday to Friday with housing available at the discretion of the county conservation board.
Qualifications
Four-year degree in forestry, anthropology, wildlife management, environmental science, or a related field OR a two-year degree in the above listed disciplines with 2 – 4 years of related on-the-job experience. OR equivalent combination of educatio
