Description
This is a stipend position for the camping season, on a bi-weekly basis. Positions to run approximately from the second week in April through the second week in October.

Location of Openings:  Hannen Lake Park, Rodgers Park, Wildcat Bluff Recreation Area

Please note your preferred location/position in application.

Additional Benefit:  This position provides a designated campsite at no charge while performing Campground Host work.

Position Information:  This is a stipend position for the camping season, on a bi-weekly basis. Positions to run approximately from the second week in April through the second week in October.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor campground registrations
  • Provide general customer service to campers
  • Sell firewood
  • Complete necessary documentation
  • Collect litter around campground
  • General cleaning duties, restroom/shower house cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. 

Physical Demands/Work Hours:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, stoop and bend. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be asked to work in adverse weather including extreme heat in the summer months.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
