Description
Job duties include but are not limited to park and campground maintenance and upkeep, equipment maintenance, construction or repair of facilities, trail maintenance and habitat management.
This employee must represent the Conservation Board in a professional, responsible, and trustworthy manner. Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to individuals and groups. Operate office equipment including computers. Work and solve problems with minimal supervision. Work outdoors in all types of weather. Have sufficient dexterity and mobility to complete work as assigned. Perform manual labor for extended periods including lifting and carrying weight over 50lbs.
Knowledge of:
- Grounds, building, and equipment maintenance.
- Plumbing, painting, masonry, electrical and carpentry work.
- Wildlife conservation principles and practices.
Ability to:
- Use heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and computers.
- Perform park and wildlife area maintenance work.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8-4:30, will require some irregular hours and shift times April-October.
Salary: $45,000-$60,000 annually Depending on Qualifications

Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have no major criminal convictions, and be insurable under the county's insurance policy. Education in Natural Resource field or significant buildings and/or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
