Description
Description: The Calhoun County Conservation Board has an opening
for a Seasonal Conservation Intern. The seasonal position is under supervision
of the Director and full-time staff members. Duties include: mowing, weed
eating, cutting trees, flower plantings, cleaning of facilities, facility and
park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors, patrols, and other
duties as required. Preferred experience in operations of equipment such as
mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, chain saws, hand tools, etc... but willing to
train if necessary. You may also have to assist the county Naturalist when
needed with recreation or educational programming.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid
driver’s license. The ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, climb, and able to
lift up to 50 pounds. The ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Salary: $11.00 per hour dependent on experience with no
benefits. This is a seasonal position running approximately May to September
and will not exceed 40 hours per week.
