Cedar Valley Nature Trail Closures/Updates

UPDATE:
The Cedar Valley Nature Trail remains
closed from King Road near McFarlane Park in La Porte City to the Bear Creek Bridge
south of Brandon. Crews are on site asphalt paving this section of trail and
will be completing the associated trail shouldering work following the paving.
Work being completed on the unpaved
portion of the Cedar Valley Nature Trail is being funded through a Destination
Iowa Grant and American Rescue Plan Act funding.
NEW TRAIL CLOSURE NOTICE: Effective July
17, 2024
We have been notified that our contractor
will be mobilizing to begin the replacement of the bridge over Miller Creek on Wednesday,
July 17th. On July 17, 2024, the Cedar Valley Nature Trail will be
closed from Miller Creek Road south to Ripple Road for this bridge replacement
project until further notice.
Please avoid the closed sections of the
trail and obey ALL trail closure signage. The closures are for the safety of
the public and the contractors.
