Herds of the American Bison, vast wetlands, and tallgrass prairies for as far as the eye could see. Over the past 150 years Iowa’s landscape has changed drastically. Join a naturalist as we discuss how habitat loss and over exploitation of natural resources has resulted in the extirpation (local extinction) of various animals across the state.
