Joe Sheldon Park
Approximately 114 acres along the West Fork of the Des Moines River
The park has several areas to enjoy. The first area (2210 Sheldon ave) is a roadside park and campground with modern restroom/shower house, dump station and playground. The campground has nine 50amp spots with water hookups and four 30 amp spots without water hookups.
The second area (2230 Sheldon ave) is a picnic area with playground, that includes a shelter house that can be reserved by consulting with the park attendant.
The third area (2250 Sheldon ave) is the southern portion of the park which consist of an additional upper and lower campground. The lower campground offers 14 campsites with rock pads and water/electric hookups. The boat ramp and boat dock can be located in the lower portion of the park as well as access to approximately three miles of multiuse trail and an 18 hole disc golf course. The upper portion campground includes 28 campsites of which includes 13 pull-through sites(five of which have water/sewer/electric). Shower house, dump station, archery range, sand volleyball, basketball court, gaga ball pit, and trail access can also be found in the upper portion. Two modern cabins are also available to rent. Location
This park is located approx 2 miles west of Humboldt on Highway 3. The park is located just off of Highway 3 and extends approx 3/4 mile to the south.

Operating Hours & Seasons
Camping season dates are April 1st - October 31st of each year weather pending. All campsites are a first come basis, no reservations are taken. Sheldon Park also offers 10 seasonal campsites that offer 30 & 50 amp electric and water and 1 seasonal campsite that offers 30 & 50 amp electric, water & sewer. Closures
Campground closes from 10:30PM to 4:00AM daily for non campers.
