Building a Conscious Wardrobe: Where Conservation and Your Closet Meet

Did you know that it takes 2,700 liters of water to produce one single t-shirt? Or that textile dyeing is the second largest polluter of water globally? Learn about the true impact of our wardrobe at a program at the Hurstville Interpretive Center on Sunday, January 26 at 3:00 PM.

Environmental Educator Jessica Wagner will discuss the impact of the clothing industry on the environment and how we all can make more sustainable purchases to keep our water, air and soil a little cleaner.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance.

Please contact Jackson County Conservation for more information or to register at (563) 652-3783 or email conservation@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov.
