Trailgate Picnic in the Park

Welcome to Story County!

Grab a picnic blanket and enjoy dinner outdoors. While we eat, we will get a chance to connect with our natural community, as well as build our human community. It’s a big weekend for our community, as Iowa State University and the University of Iowa meet for the annual CyHawk football game. If you are a football fan, support your favorite team by wearing your school’s gear. All football and non-football fans welcome as we gear up for an exciting weekend and school year!    Story County Conservation will provide the ingredients to make cold deli sandwiches or wraps. Participants are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert that is special to their family to share if they would like to.   

Participants need to bring their own dishware and water bottle.  

Accessibility: This program will take place on an ADA complaint concrete surface.  

Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline. To cancel a registration, please call (515) 232-2516.
