Winneshiek County Conservation is located in far northeast Iowa. We manage a total of 21 parks, campgrounds, natural areas, recreation trails, prairies, and water recreation access points throughout the county, encompassing over 750 acres. Whether you enjoy hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, bird watching, or any other form of outdoor recreation, enjoy your time outdoors by visiting one of your county parks!

• Biking: Hop on the Prairie Farmer Recreation Trail or Trout Run Trail for a spin across the county or around the city of Decorah.
• Camping: Electric and primitive camping at Lake Meyer Campground and Kendallville Campground.
• Canoeing and Kayaking: The Winneshiek County parks system features multiple canoe or kayak access points to the Upper Iowa River, Turkey River, and Lake Meyer.
• Hiking and Picnicking: All our parks offer opportunities for hiking and walking. Lake Meyer Park features a great network of trails, and many parks have picnic shelters and tables.
