Nature Kids is
a free monthly event for children 3-6 years who want to learn about the natural
world around them through stories, crafts, and outdoor exploring at Osborne.
On June 14th we will have fun learning all about the Volga River that flows
right by Osborne Park. We will start the morning learning about the creatures
that call the river their home by investigating the beach and water. We will
end this fun event with stories and a craft.
Be sure to wear clothing and shoes/boots suitable for mud and water, sunscreen,
bug spray, and a water bottle.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings are welcome to join. Please call the Osborne Nature
Center at 563-245-1516 for more information and to pre-register.
All programs and
events are listed on our website www.claytoncountyconservation.org and Facebook page Clayton CountyConservation.
The
Osborne Center is located on Highway 13, ten miles north of Strawberry Point or
five miles south of Elkader. The center
is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Saturday and 12:00pm-4:00pm Sunday.
