OWLS Program: Birds & Butterflies

Senior learners are invited to bring their lunch and join us at The Center in Council Bluffs for a presentation on the birds and butterflies of Iowa by a Pottawattamie County Conservation Naturalist.
The OWLS - Older, Wiser Learning Seniors, is a new partnership with The Center in Council Bluffs & is designed for senior learners with an interest in environmental science and conservation topics. Twice a month, January through March, our Naturalists will be presenting a new program to area seniors at two locations, The Center in Council Bluffs & Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek. Participants are invited to bring their lunch to enjoy as they learn.
These programs are presented free of charge, free will donations are appreciated. Attendees to the monthly program at The Center do not need to be facility members. Attendees to the monthly program at Hitchcock Nature Center will either need to purchase a $2.00 per vehicle daily entrance pass or have a valid Pottawattamie County Parks annual permit. Daily passes may be purchased with cash or check at the front entrance on the day of the event. Annual permits may be purchased for $10.00 from staff at any of our parks or at the Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center during regular business hours.
