Stand Up Paddle Boarding for Beginners

Peterson Park, Story County

Monday, June 14, 2021

Stand up paddle boarding is the fastest growing paddle sport in the country.  Come and learn about different boards and have fun trying your skills out on the water.  Paddle boarding can provide an amazing full-body workout that addresses your core, cardio fitness, balance, and flexibility, all with the fluidity of a paddle sport.  Get out on the water and enjoy nature! This program is for ages 18 and above. Bring a towel, water bottle, and life jacket if you have one.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation, and we recommend face coverings when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
