Hagge Park



This 86 acre park lies along the North Raccoon River & serves as the headquarters of the Sac County Conservation Board.  Hagge Park is mostly wooded with a mix of oak, hickory and ash trees. Hagge Park is a great place for fishing, canoeing, camping, picnicking and hiking.

Hagge Park Campground is first-come, first-served, NO RESERVATIONS.









Location

Located 2 1/2 miles south of Sac City on county highway D-42, Sac City, Iowa 

Features

  • 13 shaded campsites with water, sewer and electrical hookups.
  • Enclosed shelterhouse w/fireplace, outdoor grills, indoor restroom.
  • Seasonal camping cabin available for rent sleeps 6.
  • Gazebo used for outdoor weddings. 
  • Playground equipment.
  • Sand volleyball court.
  • Fishing rock riffle found in the North Raccoon River for fishing opportunities & canoe access.
  • Bow hunting allowed, NO Firearms are allowed in park.


Operating Hours & Seasons

  • Conservation Center open year round.
  • Center hours are Mon-Friday 8:00 a.m.--4:30 p.m. following Labor Day
  • Center hours are Mon-Friday 7:00 a.m.--3:30 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day
  • Campground, cabin and shelter open May 1st


Closures

Campground, cabin  & shelterhouse close mid-October.
