Passport to the Parks (Ages 10-15)


Event Summary

Adventure awaits in Iowa’s beautiful wild spaces! Passport to the Parks is a day camp filled with exploration, fun, and hands-on discovery of the natural wonders in Northeast Iowa.🏞️

What to Expect:

🌲 Hike scenic trails through unique wildlife areas

🌊 Wade into creeks and streams to explore aquatic life

🐾 Discover the hidden gems of Northeast Iowa’s parks

🦋 Spend the day connecting with nature and wildlife

🎒 What to Bring: Lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, water shoes (optional), and a bag to carry it all. 

Ages: 10-15

Cost: $50 dollars. This covers all program costs and fuel, and no walk ins will be accepted.

Program Policies: All registrations must be done online, and no walk-ins will be accepted. If you need assistance in registering for programs online, please call the nature center 319-277-2187, and we will help you. Prior to the program, registration materials and waiver must be completed for each participant and turned into the nature center. These materials can be emailed to gcallaway@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov or sent to 657 Reserve Drive Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.Children can be dropped off starting 10 minutes prior to the start of the program and must be picked up with 15 minutes after the end of the program. If a child needs to be dropped off/picked up earlier/later, please contact Megan at mhamm@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
