Event Summary

Calling all young paleontologists! Dino Camp is an exciting, hands-on adventure designed for 8-10-year-olds who love learning about the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. Step into the past and explore the mysteries of these incredible creatures!🦴

What’s in Store:

🦖 Dig for fossils and learn how paleontologists uncover dinosaur bones

🌍 Discover fun facts about dinosaurs and the world they lived in

🎨 Create your own dinosaur crafts and models

🔍 Go on a "Dino Hunt" to explore and find hidden treasures

🎒 What to Bring: Lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and a bag to carry it all. 

Ages: 8-10

Cost: $40 dollars. This covers all program costs, and no walk ins will be accepted.

Program Policies: All registrations must be done online, and no walk-ins will be accepted. If you need assistance in registering for programs online, please call the nature center 319-277-2187, and we will help you. Prior to the program, registration materials and waiver must be completed for each participant and turned into the nature center. These materials can be emailed to gcallaway@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov or sent to 657 Reserve Drive Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.Children can be dropped off starting 10 minutes prior to the start of the program and must be picked up with 15 minutes after the end of the program. If a child needs to be dropped off/picked up earlier/later, please contact Megan at mhamm@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
