Family Fishing Introduction - Breath of Fresh Air Activity

Event Summary

Part of the Breath of Fresh Air series of activities designed to get local and regional folks enjoying the outdoors in Buchanan County, Iowa. Buchanan County Naturalist Michael Maas will have fishing rods, bait, and advice available for those wanting to try this pastime that can evolve into a lifelong passion and great reason to spend more time outdoors. Experienced fishers also welcome to come and join the fun. Social distancing will be easy to maintain as you spread out along the shoreline of the lake, but bring a face mask for times when that may not be possible. Anyone over the age of 16 will need to have a current fishing license to fish - $10.50 one day or $22/year (https://www.iowadnr.gov/fishing/buy-your-license). No restrooms available. Dress for the weather.
