OWLS - Bog Trip

Join a Buchanan and Dubuque County naturalists to explore a natural bog.  The group will learn about some amazing plants, such as skunk cabbage.  Enjoy about a mile of walking on a mowed path surrounded by the wooded hillsides near Catfish Creek in Dubuque County.  Participants should wear footwear that can get wet. There will be no carpooling available from the county and the group will meet at Swiss Valley Nature Center in Peosta, Iowa.   

     OWLS is specifically designed for adults to learn and explore nature in and around Buchanan County. Several programs are offered each quarter.
