Night at the Nature Center - Snakes

Event Summary

Come to Fontana Nature Center to see what is offered during the spring.  Opportunities to explore the inside displays, new monarch traveling exhibit, go for a self guided night hike, or talk around a fire.  A naturalist will be available to get out live animals, such as ornate box turtle, tiger salamander, or American toad.  At 6:30 p.m. participants will have an opportunity to meet and learn about snakes of Iowa. There will even be a live rattlesnake!  A food truck will also be available on site during the event.  Some of the profits from the food truck will directly benefit environmental education in Buchanan County.  This is a come-and-go style event, so show up any time between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
