Composting with Worms!

Event Summary

Learn how to turn kitchen scraps into fertilizing treasure, with a little help from worms. Participants will create their own worm composting bin. They will also receive a pound of worms to start their bin and learn how to care for them. A well-run composter doesn’t smell, and one pound of worms can compost about a half pound of food scraps a day! What a great way to cut down on household waste. There is a $30 fee per bin that is made. Pre-registration is required, please call 319-636-2617.
