WE CHOSE OUR THEME: This year will be all about "Cats" of Iowa. Our characters will be a bobcat, mountain lion, catfish, civet cat and CATerpillar. If you are interested in volunteering to be a character or a guide or help with refreshments, give Annette a call. We can't do this without participants and volunteers. Each year the Butler, Bremer and Chickasaw County Conservation Boards come together to offer our Halloween Hike events. At this event, participants take a short woodland walk with stops to meet five characters that have something in common. Our theme is usually chosen in late summer, so keep your eyes on our social media pages to find out what it will be. This event is offered for a free will donation, and it includes hot drinks and treats after the hike. Registration will open October 1. When registering online or leaving a message, be sure to leave the following information: number in your group, requested hike time (6:00, 6:15, 6:30 or 6:45), and a contact number and e-mail in case we have questions.
