Bison View Cabin at Swan Lake
The Bison View Cabin at Swan Lake sleeps 8 comfortably. This cabin is ADA accessible. There are three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one bedroom with two twin size beds along with a full couch sleeper in the living room. Two full bathrooms are also be located in the Bison View cabin. The Kitchen is equipped with all the basic cookware, dinnerware, silverware, and cooking utensils. There are sliding glass doors to the covered patio which has a gas grill. The backyard has picnic tables and a fire pit, and the Sauk Rail Trail is just steps away.
Firewood can be purchased through our campground host Memorial Day – Labor Day, please do not bring any firewood from other counties.
Tent camping is only allowed at the Swan Lake Campground.

Bison View Cabin Rates:
Weekday Rental (Monday - Thursday): $125.00 per night
Weekend Rental (Friday and Saturday): - $135.00 per night
(weekends are a two night minimum - Friday/Saturday required together)
Refundable security deposit - $250.00 per stay on a separate payment
Once you have contacted the Carroll County Conservation office to make a reservation, we will then email you an invoice along with our rental agreement, which are due back within 15 days of making the reservation. We accept the rental fee by cash, check or credit cards (+ credit card fees added), the refundable security deposit does have to be cash or personal check, and the rental agreement can be mailed or emailed back to our office.

Reservation can be made on a rolling calendar basis (one year in advance) beginning at 8am. Reservations can be made in person during office hours or by phone call or email.

R U L E S & R E G U L A T I O N S
- It is the renter’s responsibility to bring complete bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets and or sleeping bags), bath linens, toiletries, and kitchen linens.
- The renter is responsible for complete clean up of the cabin, there will be a check out list to be completed at arrival.
- Renter must be 21 years of age or older to rent the facility or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Maximum capacity of guest may not exceed 20 people at one time. The East Shelter House, South Shelter House, or Swan Lake Conservation Education Center will accommodate these types of events.
- Park Hours are from 5:00am until 10:30pm, quite hours are enforced between 10:30pm and 5:00am
-Swan Lake State Park closes at 10:30pm, this includes the roadway, all traffic through Swan Lake State Park after 10:30pm is monitored.
- Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times or kenneled, NO PETS ALLOWED INSIDE ANY CCCB FACILITY. Park users must immediately clean up after their pets. Violators will be ticketed.
DECORATIONS
Outdoor decorations are allowed if they are temporary, free standing directional signs are allowed, they are not allowed to be attached to park furniture, signposts, trees or other facilities.
Indoor decorations Table Decorations ONLY other decorations are allowed as long as they are free standings or not affixed in a way that would damage a facility or any walls/woodwork (tape, tacks, staples, and command hooks/strips can all cause damage). It is your responsibility, as the renter, to remove all decorations.
- Kegs are not allowed at any of Carroll County Conservation parks or facilities.
- You may decorate as long as all decorations are free standing and not fixed to any of the park furniture, sign posts, trees, or facility walls.
- Do not burn trash, there are dumpster located in the campground to dispose of any trash. Recycling is also located in the campground.
Tent Camping and Campground
Tents are not allowed on the cabin grounds. All tent and RV/travel trailer campers must register and stay at the Swan Lake Campground only.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 02:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

Swan Lake State Park is managed by Carroll County Conservation Board.
The East Shelter is located near the Sauk Rail Trail, which does require a permit.
