Hoover Nature Trail
The Herbert Hoover Nature Trail is a 3.7 mile crushed gravel Rails-to-Trails project on an abandoned Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad line connecting Oasis, IA and West Branch, IA. This trail segment in Cedar and Johnson County is part of a larger Eastern Iowa trail project with a vision to connect Cedar Rapids to Burlington.

It is also part of the even larger Great American Trail Project with the goal of connecting Washington D.C. and Washington state.
Location
There are several access points to the trail:
- East College Street in West Branch
- West Branch dog park on Baker Ave
- Johnson-Cedar Road just south of 265th St in Cedar County
- The town of Oasis and several other locations in neighboring Johnson County

Features
Gravel trail for hiking, biking, birding and cross-county skiing.
The trail traverses through timber, prairie, and farm fields and is home to many animals and songbirds. The trail is listed as an eBird Hotspot.

Pit toilet located at the town of Oasis access point.

Trail is not plowed in winter.
