Briggs Woods and Little Wall Lake campgrounds each have designated sites available for reservation from April 1 through October 31 each year. All other sites are first-come first-serve.
Bell's Mill Park is first-come first-serve.
NEW FOR 2025:
"Reserve" sites at Briggs Woods Park and Little Wall Lake Park can be reserved for Holidays.
Designated dates must be reserved together.
Cashless first-come first-serve sites: All three Hamilton County Conservation campgrounds are now Cashless for 2025. Campers will scan the QR Code at the campsite of their choosing and pay from there.

We do not offer shuttle service for the Boone River.
This can vary every year as the Boone Rivers is a shallow river, but normally May & June.
Renting on the lakes are available May through October.

Steps to Reserve a Facility (campsite, shelter, or cabin)
We will observe a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee policy with the following exceptions:
We apologize that you are having trouble making a reservation or viewing the availability of a particular facility.
The best way to check for availability is from the front page of the website. You will choose between "Cabins" "Camping" "Shelter". Then you enter the park of choice, followed by the check-in and check-out dates. Then "Search".
If you continue to have problems, please email conservation@hamiltoncounty.org or call us at (515) 832-9570. We will help you with your problem as soon as possible.
Cabins and Shelters have a cleaning list posted in their respected facility.
Try to leave facility in better condition then what you found them.
Wipe up counters, appliances, spills, sweep and mop if necessary.
Pick up trash in and around the grounds.
Please place trash dumpsters in the park.

NO REFUND - Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, you immediately prohibit other people from reserving & utilizing this facility - they therefore go elsewhere to locate a campsite for that date.
If you need to cancel and reschedule your reservation, you must contact us 15 days in advance of your rental date. 515-832-9570 or conservation@hamiltoncounty.org
If you contact us under 15 days, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and not be allowed to reschedule.
If you contact us by the 15 day notice, a promotional code will be issued to use for your future online reservation. You have one opportunity to reschedule within 12 months of the original reservation date with this code.
Cancellations will not be allowed for extreme temperature changes (heat/cool) or inclement weather.
