Fireside Chat at Camp WaNoKi / Backpacking Basics 101

Event Summary

If packpacking to wilderness areas interests you come to this Fireside Chat. There will be packpacking gear for people to look at and wilderness locations to backpack will be discussed. We will discuss packpacking gear including  packpacks, sleeping bags, foot ware, tents, cook stoves, cookware, dehydrated food, water tablets, containers, clothes, bear packs and  toiletries.  Naturalist John Laird will tell of his trip backpacking with his Father on Isle Royal Island National Park years ago. There will also be other people who have backpacked  there to share information with you.
