Fireside Chat at Camp WaNoKi / Flint Knapping

Event Summary

If the art of flint knapping has ever interested you come join us as we explore this ancient human practice. We will try to create stone tools by striking and shaping flint into usable projectile points. blades, or scrappers. Early human societies all practiced making stone tools by understanding strike angles and developing controlled flaking skills. This is a joint program between Webster and Hamilton County Conservation Boards. Register online at www.mycountyparks.com on the Hamilton County page.
