Meet at Hamilton County Conservation Office at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City, IA 50595

1:30 - 3:00 PM Introduction to Diurnal Raptors of Iowa by Kelly McKay

3:00 - 3:30 PM Break for discussion and snacks

3:30 - 4:15 PM Assessment of Human Activity Impacts on Bald Eagle Reproductive Success Along the Upper Mississippi River by Kelly McKay

4:15 - 4:30 PM Break for discussion 

4:30 - 5:00 PM Get the Lead Out of Deer Hunting and Fishing by John Laird of Hamilton County Conservation

5:00 - 6:00 Supper at office on your own (Bring a sack lunch or get something to eat at the golf course club house or in Webster City) 

6:00 - 8:00 PM Evening Observation at Bjorkboda Marsh (1791 400th Street Boone, IA 50036) Signed off of highway 17 South of Stanhope a few miles with a brown County Conservation Board sign. We will car caravan to Bjorkboda Marsh and back. Feel free to ride share together. 

8:00 - 8:30 PM Break at Conservation Office for discussion and snacks

8:30 - 9:30 PM Introduction to Nocturnal Raptors of Iowa by Kelly McKay

9:30 -10:30 PM Owl Prowl at Briggs Woods Park. We will hike to Shelter 2 Area and hike the Prairie Trail by Kelly McKay and John Laird

We will try our best to call the barred owls and hopefully get a reply or have an owl fly towards us to investigate. 

10:30 -11:00 PM Discussion and Depart
