Flying Bat Observation Count and Talk

Event Summary

If you are interested in the bats of Iowa join us for a bat talk inside the Barn shelter and a bat count observation outside at the bat houses nearby. We will stand by the bat houses and count how many bats fly out at dusk. We will have hand tally counters at each of the bat houses and count how many bats are using the new bat houses. We will discuss the benefits of bats and mention what human behaviors and diseases that threaten them. This program is limited to the first 80 people who register so register soon. A free mini flyer handout on bats by Bat Conservation International will be available. Bat house plans for free will also be available.
