The Monarch Butterfly & Butterfly Hike

Event Summary

• Learn the life of a Monarch Butterfly, and go on a butterfly hike afterwards with our Hamilton County Naturalist. 
• Meet at the Conservation Office for a presentation and then drive to Bauer Slough Wildlife Area or the Prairie in Briggs Woods Park for a butterfly hike on the mowed trails 
  
• We will try to catch butterflies, identify the species, observe them, and then release them. 
  
• There are a limited number of butterfly nets
  
• Identification guides will be provided on the hike
  
• People are welcome to bring there own net and butterfly field guides.
