Why Leaves Change Color - Hike and Leaf Rubbing Activity

Event Summary

Have you ever wondered why leaves change color each fall before they drop from the trees? 

Meet at the Barn Shelter for a short discussion and hike the bike trail. 

We will discuss what happens to the tree leaves at this time each year as we collect some leaves along the way.

When we return to the shelter we will enjoy a leaf rubbing activity for those who choose to participate.

This program is for all ages of people who enjoy walking through the leaves and looking at the fall colors each year.
