Ida County Conservation Center
The Ida County Conservation Center is a nature center located in Moorehead Park. The center features a children's activity corner, an outdoor classroom, the Lipton Bird Room and wildlife viewing area, numerous bird, fish, and mammal mounts, a large deck, and kitchenette. The Conservation Center is the home base for all environmental education programs and available for rentals. The Conservation Center is regularly rented for graduation parties, receptions, bridal showers, baby showers, family reunions, and birthday parties. ICCB staff offices are also located in the Ida County Conservation Center.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 09:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

Located in Moorehead Park, Ida Grove, off of the east fork of the main park road, on the southeast side of Moorehead lake.

Renters will need to furnish their own roasters, serving trays, drink containers, and storage containers.
Fees
$150.00 rental fee per day - 9:00am to 10:30pm.
$4.00 processing fee per facility will be added at check-out.
Hours of Operation & Seasons
The following information is related to normal business operations, not facility rentals.
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm; depending on staff availability. Please call ahead for a visit!
Saturday, Sunday: Closed
Open year round. Closed on winter holidays or when staff is not available.

The conservation department is managed by the Ida County Conservation Board (ICCB), by means of the Iowa code chapter 350. ICCB's mission: to acquire, maintain, and make available to the residents of the county: parks, recreational areas, playgrounds, wildlife, and other conservation areas; to encourage conservation of natural resources; and to promote and preserve the health and welfare of the people.
