The Historic Depot, originally located on the train tracks of Ida Grove was moved to Moorehead Park in 1971. The Depot features a wood burning stove and a fireplace that was constructed with the original brick from the street surrounding the depot. The Depot is a great location for wedding and baby showers, family reunions, and birthday parties. 


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 09:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

Location Along the west fork of the main park road at the bottom of the Moorehead Park Sledding Hill.

The depot offers the following amenities: 

Fees

$40.00 rental fee per day - 9:00am to 10:30pm.

$4.00 processing fee per facility will be added at check-out.


Hours of Operation & Seasons

Available for rentals year round. Moorehead Park and all facilities close at 10:30 PM. 

Sledding hours of operation:

Sundays from 1:30-4:30 PM, when half a foot of snow is present.

The conservation department is managed by the Ida County Conservation Board (ICCB), by means of the Iowa code chapter 350. ICCB's mission: to acquire, maintain, and make available to the residents of the county: parks, recreational areas, playgrounds, wildlife, and other conservation areas; to encourage conservation of natural resources; and to promote and preserve the health and welfare of the people.
