Papke Wildlife Area

This area is dominated by upland prairie and provides habitat for many upland species. In addition there are two ponds, woodlands and food plots.

The Papke Wildlife Area was donated by Paul Jr. Papke and he referred to this area as his "wildlife farm".

This area is managed as a wildlife area and is open to public hunting.

From 2015-2019, this property was enrolled in the IHAP program. Through the IHAP program, habitat development was completed, including: tree and shrub plantings, native switch grass strips, conversion from brome to mixed native grass and flowers.
